Painting and Drywall, Finished Properly.
Interior and exterior painting, drywall installation and repair. Halifax, Bedford, Hammonds Plains, Tantallon, Sackville and Dartmouth.
What we do
Four things, done properly.
Interior Painting
Walls, ceilings, trim, doors and closets, in occupied homes and empty ones. Floors and furniture get covered before a lid comes off, holes and dents are filled and sanded flat, and edges are cut in by hand rather than taped and hoped for.
Exterior Painting
Siding, trim, soffits, doors, railings and steps. Surfaces are washed and scraped before anything is applied, bare and repaired spots are primed, and we work to the weather rather than against it.
Drywall Installation
Board hung, taped, mudded and sanded ready for paint. Basements, additions, garages and single rooms. Seams and corners are finished so they disappear under a roller instead of showing up the first sunny afternoon.
Drywall Repair
Cracks, nail pops, water damage, holes from moved furniture or a removed fixture. Patches are feathered wide enough that the repair does not read as a patch, then primed and painted back to match the wall.
How a job runs
Five steps, start to finish, so you know what is happening in your house and when.
Site visit and measure
We come out and look at the job in person, measure up and talk through what you want. Photos hide the things that change a quote.
Written quote
One price, in writing, within one business day of the visit. No obligation, and nobody calling you three times a week afterwards.
Prep and protection
Floors and furniture covered before anything starts. Dust contained and doorways taped off on drywall work, holes and dents filled and sanded flat before painting.
The work itself
Board hung and seams finished flat, or paint on with the edges cut in by hand. Cleanup at the end of every day, so you get your house back each evening.
Walkthrough, then the invoice
We walk the finished work with you and fix what you point out. The bill goes out after that, not before.
What you can expect
Not a promise about craftsmanship. The specific things we commit to on every job.
A written quote within one business day.
You see the scope and the price in writing before anything starts.
Floors and furniture covered before work begins.
Protection goes down first, every time, not once the mess has started.
The same crew from start to finish.
The people who quote the job are the people who do it. Nobody gets handed off.
Cleanup at the end of every day.
You get your house back each evening, not at the end of the project.
A final walkthrough before we invoice.
We walk the work with you and fix what you point out before the bill goes out.
A two-year workmanship warranty on labour, in writing.
Not a handshake, and not buried in the contract.
Recent work
Eighteen homes completed across HRM since February. These are photographs from our own jobs, and nothing here is a stock image.

Managing property instead?
Homeowners are buying a finish. You are buying a date. Turnovers between tenants, pre-listing repairs, hallways and common areas, and the openings left behind after a plumber has been in.
Interior work runs right through November to March, which is when a mid-winter turnover is hardest to staff and easiest for us to take.
Where we work
Halifax Regional Municipality, as a service area rather than a marketing line.
Halifax
Peninsula homes, the south end, the north end and out to the Armdale rotary.
Bedford
Interior repaints, basement drywall and exterior work on new and established streets.
Hammonds Plains
Larger lots and exteriors that take more wind and sun than a sheltered street in town.
Tantallon
Interior and exterior painting, basement finishes, additions and repair work.
Sackville
Lower and Middle Sackville. A lot of our drywall work is here.
Dartmouth
Interior painting and drywall. Bridge traffic does not change our rates.
Questions
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes. Quotes are free, and you get one in writing within one business day of us seeing the job. There is no obligation attached to it.
Do you work in winter?
Yes, for interior work. Interior painting, drywall installation and drywall repair run all year, and winter is usually the easiest time of year to get a start date.
Exterior painting is seasonal and runs through the warmer months. If you are asking about outside work in January, the right move is to get quoted now and booked early.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry $2 million in general liability, and we will send you the certificate on request rather than asking you to take our word for it.
What is your warranty?
Two years on our workmanship, covering labour, in writing. Paint and materials carry whatever warranty the manufacturer puts on them.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit, debit, e-transfer, and payment online or in person. If you have a method you would rather use, tell us and we will accommodate it where we can.
How many coats do you apply?
We recommend two coats as a minimum. Going from a dark colour to a lighter one, we suggest a primer coat first, because two coats of a light colour over a dark wall does not cover evenly.
Can you work to a deadline?
Tell us the date when we come out to quote and we will tell you then whether we can meet it. We would rather say no at the quote than miss it later.
What areas do you cover?
Halifax, Bedford, Hammonds Plains, Tantallon, Sackville and Dartmouth, and the areas around them. If you are just outside one of those, call and ask rather than assuming the answer is no.
